Datum & Metadata Quick-Check

Paste the header or metadata lines from two or more project files — a control listing, a point-file banner, a plan title block — and compare the datum, MGA zone, geoid model and epoch each one declares. Disagreements are highlighted for review; a header that states nothing is reported as not stated, never guessed.

Free advisory field tool — every result is computed in your browser from the inputs you provide and is advisory and unverified, not for survey deliverables. Where a published guideline applies, results only ever read “within guideline” or “exceeds guideline — review”. The full working is shown for every calculation so each step can be re-checked. Registered surveyor confirmation required before reliance.

Pasted text stays in this browser tab — nothing is uploaded.

Paste header text from at least two files to compare what each one declares.

This quick-check reads only the header text you paste — it never sees the files themselves, and what a header declares can differ from what the data actually is. The table flags disagreements between declarations for you to chase at the source; it makes no statement about which value is right. A project-wide, cross-file consistency check over uploaded working data is planned for the product — this page stays the quick manual version.

Advisory output — confirm independently before reliance.
