Coordinate & Datum Converter — MGA2020
Convert between GDA2020 geographic coordinates and the MGA2020 grid — zone auto-detected from longitude with a manual override, point scale factor and grid convergence shown for every conversion, and an optional GDA94 → GDA2020 conformal 7-parameter step. Inputs accept decimal degrees or DMS, and every result carries a copyable method statement of exactly what was computed.
Free advisory field tool — every result is computed in your browser from the inputs you provide and is advisory and unverified, not for survey deliverables. Where a published guideline applies, results only ever read “within guideline” or “exceeds guideline — review”. The full working is shown for every calculation so each step can be re-checked. Registered surveyor confirmation required before reliance.
DD or DMS — e.g. -37.6528 or 37°39′10.1″ S

Auto-detects from longitude — override for work held in an adjacent zone.
Enter a latitude and longitude to convert — the result, its full working and the method statement appear here.
Datum note: the GDA94 → GDA2020 step here is the conformal 7-parameter transformation (coordinate-frame rotation convention). NTv2 grid-shift and AUSGeoid N-value lookup are planned for a later update (B7.1) — for grid-transformation-grade work use the official NTv2 grids. The method statement attached to every result repeats this caveat so it travels with the numbers.
Advisory output — confirm independently before reliance.
Safety & scope
SurveyMarkup does not certify survey accuracy, cadastral compliance, legal boundaries, or coordinate correctness. It helps prepare and review working information, but original data and final outputs must be checked by a qualified user before use.
Assistance only - professional review remains required.
