Rule packs

SurveyMarkup's jurisdiction checks are packaged as versioned, data-only rule packs. Each pack is aligned to a published instrument and checks survey working data against it — raising advisory findings for a registered surveyor to review. A pack selects and parameterises checks the engine implements; its numeric parameters are machine-extracted from the engine's constant registry, never typed by hand, and the pack vocabulary cannot express export blocking.

Every pack carries a version and a content digest, so the exact rule set behind a review is traceable in the review summary and CSV exports.

More state packs are staged as the engine's constant registry grows — a pack ships only when every value it references already exists in the engine. Rules without an engine implementation stay proposed and are excluded from the compiled packs.

Every result is advisory and unverified — not for survey deliverables. Rule packs check working data against the published instrument they are aligned to; they do not decide whether a survey satisfies it. Registered surveyor confirmation required before reliance.

Safety & scope

SurveyMarkup does not certify survey accuracy, cadastral compliance, legal boundaries, or coordinate correctness. It helps prepare and review working information, but original data and final outputs must be checked by a qualified user before use.

Assistance only - professional review remains required.
