# SurveyMarkup — synthetic sample files

**PUBLIC BETA — ADVISORY ONLY. Not for survey deliverables. Registered surveyor confirmation required.**

© 2026 SurveyMarkup — synthetic demo data for evaluation. Public beta advisory use only. Not for survey deliverables.

These files are **synthetic demo data**. They contain fictional values and do not
represent any real project, client, coordinate set, or survey. They are safe to share
and exist so you can try SurveyMarkup **without uploading real or confidential client
data during the public beta**.

Every result SurveyMarkup produces from these files is **advisory and UNVERIFIED** — it
is not a survey deliverable and is not a legal/cadastral certification. A registered
Australian surveyor must confirm any result before it is relied upon.

## Files

| File | Tool | What it shows |
|------|------|---------------|
| `sample-report-reader-demo.rpt` | Report Reader | A synthetic `.rpt` reduction report — triggers missing-face, unclear-setup, high-residual, pole-height and parse-confidence advisories. |
| `sample-report-reader-demo.txt` | Report Reader | A simpler synthetic `.txt` report with a single advisory warning. |
| `sample-linework-demo.csv` | Map Linework | Synthetic coded points — includes a missing code, a near-duplicate, and an open polygon for the QA checks to flag. |
| `sample-linework-demo.geojson` | Map Linework | The same synthetic linework as GeoJSON (carries the advisory note). |
| `sample-pdf-evidence-demo.json` | PDF Markup | A synthetic evidence set: one linked, one unlinked, one needs-review and one missing item. |

## How to use

1. Open the relevant tool: Report Reader, Map Linework, PDF Markup, or the QA demo.
2. Load or upload the matching sample (or use the in-app "Load synthetic sample").
3. Review the advisory output — note the ADVISORY / NEEDS REVIEW / UNVERIFIED labels.
4. Remember: nothing here is verified. A registered surveyor must sign off before use.

Do not replace these with real client data while testing during the beta.
